Career Development and Accessibility Support

Overview

AGH is a leading university in the development and implementation of proprietary methods designed to stimulate the professional potential of students and graduates with disabilities.
Since 2010, the AGH Career Development Department has continuously offered opportunities for career planning under the guidance of specialists, acquiring new skills and professional qualifications, and taking the first steps into the job market, all while taking into account the specific needs of each individual.

Cooperation and Projects

These activities are carried out largely in cooperation with the Fundacja Instytut Rozwoju Regionalnego, including through the implementation of the pro-employment projects described below.
During the past decade, we have conducted several hundred hours of workshops and consultations, more than 100 vocational training sessions, dozens of paid professional internships in companies and institutions of student and graduate choice, and countless hours of career counseling meetings.

Support for Employers and Social Responsibility

At the same time, we carry out activities to promote the professional and interpersonal potential of people with disabilities among employers. We break down stereotypes and provide expert assistance with reasonable accommodations in the workplace. We support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. These activities go well beyond the standard educational responsibilities of a university.

Future Development and Support

Through the Center for Sustainable Careers, we will develop and distribute best practices on the employment of people with disabilities and effective methods of workplace support. We will provide our students and graduates with additional tools to facilitate a comfortable and secure entry into their professional careers.

Collaboration Opportunities

We encourage representatives of the academic community, non-governmental organizations, institutions, and companies, as well as anyone interested in career-related issues and Corporate Social Responsibility in the context of disability, to collaborate with the Accessibility Department AGH.
