For wheelchair users, an adapted entrance is located at the back of the building from the northern courtyard, where a lift to the building is available. Intercoms are installed at the entrance and exit of the courtyard to contact the porter’s lodge in case the gate is closed. Persons with mobility impairments cannot access the porter’s lodge – there is no level access between level -1 and the porter’s lodge (6 steps) and between level 0 and the porter’s lodge (16 steps).
Corridors in the building allow free movement – there are no level differences. Access is limited to the entire basement level and part of the ground floor (to the north and south wings).
The stairs do not have special facilities for persons with disabilities, except for access to rooms no. 380–383, where a lift has been installed.
The building is equipped with 3 passenger lifts:
The lifts are equipped with voice announcements and Braille labels.
The building contains two accessible toilets located on the first and third floors.
The AGH Main Auditorium is equipped with an FM hearing support system.
In the internal parking area, near the entrance (lift) adapted for people with disabilities, there is a designated parking space.
