Educational Adaptation

What are educational accommodations?

Definition and Scope

These are reasonable accommodations designed to ensure equal educational opportunities for individuals with special needs, including those with disabilities. The scope and type of accommodations are determined based on the individual needs of the student and the specific nature of the academic program. The framework for the support provided is established by the Resolution of the KRASP Presidium dated June 2, 2016 (in Polish).

The AGH Accessibility Department defines accommodations in a document containing practical recommendations for organizing classes and exams. It does not include information on the type of disability, except when both parties explicitly request it.

Distribution of the Document

Copies are provided to

  • the student, who immediately after the document is issued and based on it, independently arranges the technical and organizational details with the instructors;
  • the Dean of the relevant AGH Faculty; the Directorate of the AGH Foreign Language Center (if applicable).
